Get to Know Me
Hi! I'm Carrie Wojo. I'm 37 years old, I have two awesome boys, I love to swing dance, line dance, and ballroom dance, and I've been a Clinical Nutritionist for 7 years.
When I was 26 years old I started having debilitating back and muscle spasms that kept me from sleeping, sitting or walking without constant pain.
Being an avid dancer and mom, I was devastated, discouraged and depressed. When I was pregnant with my second son, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, then after I gave birth, pre-diabetes.
I had already had digestion, skin and hormone issues my whole life and I was very frustrated to have even more issues added to that list. I was offered cortisone shots, medications, and physical therapy as solutions, but was told I would pretty much be this way the rest of my life.
Both of my parents have serious health issues, so I started to wonder what the connection might be. I realized that I WAS my parents. Their eating habits, their deficiencies, even their mindset, and I wasn't willing to live that way anymore.
I took a hard look at my eating habits, and realized that I had abused my body with large amounts of sugar, carbs and junk food for the first 26 years of my life! After identifying my deficiencies, making changes to my diet, taking good quality whole food supplements, and making time to sleep; I was able to get my health back.
The result: A year and a half later I was pain-free, diabetes-free, sleeping better than ever, my digestion and energy improved dramatically, and I lost 30 pounds!
I'm proof it can be done!
Life is too short. Let's get you healthy!
