Meet Carrie Wojo
The driving force behind Path to Health is my deep desire to help individuals achieve their long-term nutrition and health goals. There are so many sick and tired people out there who have no idea what to eat and what to avoid.

Food should taste good, but it should also nurture your body. Since 2012, Carrie has educated and encouraged her clients to get in tune with their bodies. She uses a variety of modalities to help her clients achieve balance including blood work analysis, InBody composition analysis, blood type, non-invasive mineral testing, and food diary analysis. With a creative and responsible approach to healthy eating, as well as an extensive range of industry experience, Carrie helps clients achieve all their nutrition goals — the healthy way.
Food Allergies and Intolerances
Are you intolerant or allergic to any of the above foods? While these are the common ones, many people have issues with foods not listed above. Healthy foods like bananas, chicken, citrus fruits, oatmeal, and many more foods can cause stomach upset, breakouts, fatigue, and inflammation in the body.

Identifying these foods can be hard if everything seems to bother your stomach, or even more so if you have a cast iron stomach. For those of you with sensitive stomachs you might think you're lactose intolerant because cheese makes your stomach bloat, but it could actually be the fat your body can't handle. Or, you might think all carbs make you tired, but you MIGHT just be B Vitamin deficient. Stress can make our bodies react to foods that have always been fine too.

I work with my clients to get their bodies metabolizing and digesting their food first, then we look for true food sensitivities, using food diary analysis first, and then food allergy panels if necessary. After a few sessions, you’ll become a pro at choosing the right foods for you.
Weight Loss Counseling
Weight loss can be tough. Especially if you've done phen-phen, keto (when your liver wasn't ready), or extreme calorie-restrictive diets. It slows down metabolism and throws a wrench in our fat burning mechanism. I often see clients that want to lose weight, that cut carbs, sugar and calories without much success. Those clients usually have a lot of stress, and most likely need liver support, and a blood sugar and/or thyroid reset.

"But my doctor says my blood work looks fine..." Blood work is one tool that can be used to look at what's going on in the body, but it's not the full picture. We usually need to fast before blood work, and that's because what we eat daily affects our blood, and therefore those numbers. So we can't rely on just blood work to tell us what's going on in our liver, pancreas, metabolism, etc.

One of the tools I utilize to get a different look is an InBody 570 Composition Machine. Electrodes send electrical impulses throughout the body, collecting information about body fat, lean muscle mass, cell hydration, visceral fat (that deep fat that surrounds your vital organs) and your basal metabolic rate (how many calories you burn just being alive).

The data collected via this test often times correlates with other symptoms people are having: constipation, burping, cellulite accumulation, joint pain, and trouble losing weight. It shows you the areas you're doing really well in, as well as the areas that are opportunities for growth. And if you're the competitive type it can be really fun to see how you're results change every 2-4 weeks!
